A home improvement company has asked me to leave feedback - how do I do that?


One of your recommended companies has contacted me and asked me to leave some feedback on their services. How do I do this? I can't remember my original login details?

Home Improvement Quotes is committed to providing homeowners with as much information as possible so when you first use our online service, if you later speak with our customer advisors and take up our offer to find you a maximum of three companies to give you a written quote, we then email you a set of login details so you can go online and view the contact details, download deposit protection certificates and even view feedback from other homeowners on those companies we're recommending.

You can also leave your feedback for the benefit of future homeowners as well as helping us constantly monitor the companies we're recommending.

If you've lost or deleted your login details, then it's really easy to still access your online area and leave feedback.

Just go to our 'Quoter family website - homeimprovementquotes.co.uk

Then from the 'About Us' tab, select 'Home Owner Login Area' and click on 'Customer Log In'. You'll be asked for your email and password. Providing you use the email address you gave at the time of confirming your details with our sales advisors, you'll be able to use the 'forgot my password' feature - we'll email you your password again.

Your Home Improvement Company feedback makes the difference

Here at Home Improvement Quotes, we've seen the way feedback you've been leaving on companies we've recommended to you has really changed the way they do business.

After we've matched your details to a home improvement provider from our network, we give you the opportunity to leave feedback on the company, their salespeople, and the job they did.

Through your comments, both good and not-so-good, Managers have gained first hand insights into how their companies are being perceived and how their sales force conduct themselves with homeowners. When that feedback is good, they're able to give rewards to their best sales people, based not only on raw number of homeowner signatures but also on customer satisfaction.

When that feedback hasn't been so favourable, they've been able to make efforts to change their customer service procedures.

Receiving feedback from homeowners also enables us to constantly monitor the companies in our network. If companies start regularly being given negative feedback, we can speak with them directly and resolve issues raised quickly and effectively. On some (very rare) occasions, we've even entirely stopped doing business with companies based on feedback we've received from homeowners just like you.

Of course, good feedback is also vital, as it enables companies to reward their staff - and us to reward the companies.
When we all work together, it all adds up to a service that every homeowner can have faith and trust in, and be safe in the knowledge that your feedback is read and acted upon.

With your help we're beating the cowboys.

Using the 'Quoter family of websites to get a quotation for a home improvement project is far safer than the 'pot-luck' approach of sticking a pin in a newspaper or directory advert thanks to your help compiling a massive list of recommendations over the past 8 years.

Regular readers will know that users of the 'Quoter family of websites get unique access to a personalised login area where they can leave valuable feedback on their own experiences with our recommended companies.

Feedback that helps us monitor our database of home improvement companies as well as helping other home owners decide which company will best suit their own needs, based on the feedback of other home owners.

Regulars will know we offer an online customer feedback service where users of our home improvement online quote websites can leave comments on the companies we recommend to them.

Your feedback plays an important part in our close monitoring of our approved companies to make sure they continue to offer the highest levels of customer service.

Not only is all feedback left, anonymously fed back to the companies concerned (good or bad), but we also now publish the 5 star (highest level attainable) feedback to other home owners within that companies operating range as a great first hand recommendation from you to other home owners, perhaps even your neighbours!

The ‘Quoter family of websites are all designed to give you instant online quotes which can later be confirmed in writing by up to 3 approved companies from our database of registered companies throughout the UK.

When a home improvement company asks to join our approved list, we seek certain assurances that they are bona-fide companies with a good and reputable trading history.

Our registered companies are aware that we encourage customer feedback from home owners that we recommend to them. Individual companies receive your feedback (anonymously) to help them (and us) monitor their performance on a constant basis.

Recommendation from a friend is always a good idea so when someone in your neighbourhood leaves 5 star feedback on a company in your area, we immediately email that feedback to every home owner within that specific area that’s used our online service in the past.

If we didn’t share that intelligence, we wouldn’t be doing our job!
So it’s not just on our recommendation (which is impartial) but also on the recommendation of another home owner – perhaps even a neighbour of yours?

Since the launch last week of our innovative Quality Feedback Alerts - another first from Home Improvement Quotes - we're delivered over 35,000 emails updating homeowners in Kent (roofing), Hampshire (kitchens), Hereford (fascias & Soffits) and Surrey (windows & doors).

Remember, this is actual recommendation from home owners just like you - it could even be your neighbour!

We'll be expanding the service over the coming weeks to include the whole of the UK as we receive 5 star feedback reports from home owners who have used our online quotation service and been visited by one of our recommended companies.

You know when you're doing it right.

Here at Home Improvement Quotes, we're always working on new ways to give home owners as much information as possible to help them make an informed decision about their next home improvement project.

Recently, we introduced a customer login area - home owners using our recommended trader system receive their own personalised login area accessed by a username and password which we supply.

Once there, they can check out the contact details of the companies we've recommended to them (to avoid other companies using our name to 'get in the door'), leave feedback on their experiences of those recommended companies and, if they decide to go ahead with one of the quotes, download their own deposit protection certificate (another free service we provide based on a maximum 10% deposit recommendation).

To assist home owners further, we now 'publish' the 5 star (very good) feedback left in a small email alert that goes to the area covered by the company in question.

This is emailed to all previous users of our 'Quoter family of websites.

It's a free service and home owners can unsubscribe at anytime, however we feel it's very important intelligence for home owners to know those companies in their area that are getting high praise and recommendation.

After getting your instant online quote, our experienced staff will call you back and after confirming the details you entered, offer you the chance to get up to 3 local independent written quotations from approved companies specialising in your requirements.

If you accept our free offer of firm quotations (they're valid for 6 months and completely without obligation), then you'll receive an email from us giving you access to your very own login areas where you can view contact details of the (up to 3) local companies we've recommended and leave feedback on your experiences with that company - from their initial contact, the appointment right up to if they carry out work for you.

If you do decide to accept one of the quotations, then you can re-visit your login area and download your own Deposit Protection Certificate (as well as continuing to leave feedback.

New customer information login area launches today

Customers of the Quoter Family of Websites that agree to see our recommended companies can now check the progress of their enquiry online thanks to an innovative online area just for them.

Shortly after speaking with us, customers will receive an email detailing their unique login and password details with which to access information including: Which companies we've placed their enquiry with, contact details for those companies and a customer feedback section where they can leave details of their experiences with those individual companies, from initial contact to when they complete the work quoted for.

Plus, if a customer does choose one of our recommended companies to carry out the home improvement project for them, they can also login and download their own deposit protection certificate (terms and conditions apply).
